Surviving the long distance flights

4/7/10

The long-distance flights are the nightmare of many travelers, though they save time (fewer stops flights = less change) and are more convenient. But the truth is that being more than eight hours in a cramped little seat can be hard. Luckily there are several steps you can take to make this type of trip more comfortable and less stressful for your body.

Wear comfortable clothes. Wear loose clothes, preferably cotton. You'll be sitting in a confined space for hours in temperatures that rise and fall, so it is better to be comfortable. The same advice applies to shoes. The feet, hands and face swell normally with altitude, so ladies, no heels.

Drink plenty of water. Before and during the flight. The air board is dry and usually occurs dehydration. Try not to drink alcohol or diuretics as these contribute to dehydration.

Take appropriate hygienic products. Include in your hand luggage for skin moisturizer, lip balm and salve. The sleep masks moisturizers are a common choice for those who travel frequently.

Stretching. Immobility combined with dehydration can cause deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which is the formation of blood clots in deep veins of the lower leg and is associated with long distance travel. It is therefore important to do some simple exercises and move your legs during the flight. Rotate the ankles, raising the toe and the heel, and pull your knees while seated for a few minutes every half hour. Also stretch muscles of the legs and walk down the hall from time to time to help circulation.

Take other preventive measures against DVT. Wear socks or stockings specially indicated to prevent DVT. Take aspirin in small doses (100-150 mg) before the flight and during flight (check the maximum dosage). Aspirin helps prevent blood clots.

Delay your dream. Instead of a nap right after the first meal and movie, try to keep the mind active for several more hours. Staying awake longer, you will get to sleep in a more profound and lasting way when you finally close your eyes.

Traveling in 1 click

4/5/10

Find a flight, hotel, rental car or flight + hotel are actions you can perform and just 1 click on any travel website. But do you really buy plane tickets for weekend getaway, or a hotel room on the first click?

The data indicate that in fact we are not satisfied with the first option we are offered.

20% of users buy at the first click. There are several reasons for this:

1. They know the web, this inspires confidence, and you do not need to surf more.

2. They don’t have time and have to buy at the first site that offers availability; the need to purchase is greater than the ability to compare.

3. Buy direct from airlines, hotels, car hire, are frequent flyers and prefer this option.

But that still leaves 80% of users who do not buy their journeying in this way. These users browse, search, compare, and starts again. The majority are Internet experts who know they can find better deals than the first ones that appear. Visit the website of the agency online, then visit the website of the airline, re-enter for an ad that promises ultra cheap prices .. at the end it has passed about 10 days. The purchasing decision also depends on the product: it is not the same to book a flight to London that a hotel room in London. The choice of flight is marked by the price and schedule, however for the choice of the hotel, it comes into play more subjective factors. It is important the location, the relation quality/price, and then room type, services included in the price as breakfast, etc..

Choosing a hotel for the getaway, vacation, weekend, or a meeting, is definitely more complicated. In this election personal tastes are very important. For a meeting likely the user will want to be assured of having internet connection, near the meeting area or office. Furthermore, for this type of travel, it is also important that the hotel has a gym, which has the possibility to check in early, and international press. For a weekend, however, the location of the hotel and appearance of the rooms are essential. For this type of detail, the choice of hotel can take about 10 days.

In these cases, it is advisable to make a price comparison of flights, hotels, flight + hotel, and car rental. Instead of navigating through the entire network by comparing ourselves, the comparator gives the job done. Comparator tracks by all the travel sites and offers all the fares available in just 1 minute.

Outstanding features of the 5-star hotels

3/3/10

The award of being considered one of the few 5-star hotels in the world is an award of excellence that all hotels are trying to achieve, but few meet the standards required to be considered one of them. There are certain conditions that make a hotel to be considered within the category of 5 star hotels, which cannot be omitted. Only hotels truly royal lineage can claim this distinction.
Starting at the parking lot, one of the requirements, the same shall be in accordance with the number of passengers. Also, 5-star hotels have a dock for the arrival of taxis and buses. Also the main entrance should be covered. Note that these are features required by international standards for a hotel to be given 5-star category.
The 5-star hotels should have two restaurants, one main and one daily. They must also have a café, a bar and a disco or nightclub. As we see, the 5-star hotels are like small towns in themselves. Also, the service areas must be regulated in the 5-star hotels. In the main kitchen must be added the amount of kitchen accessories needed to provide adequate service in accordance with the number of guests.
Regarding the organization of events, the 5-star hotels must also be covered. They should have a multipurpose room, a warehouse, a lobby and a hall or meeting room; meetings and events held in 5-star hotels enjoy enormous prestige. The staff behind these endeavors must be highly qualified and must be available to guests in trilingual language 24 hours a day.
But what really sets the 5-star hotels. The answer is service. The quality of care is assured by their staff, trained to receive the best domestic tourism as the most demanding international guests. Its warmth, education and service quality are the guarantee of service excellence. Behind every satisfied guest there are several employees in various areas, working in coordination to meet the expectations of passengers, who know that from the moment of check in are in the best hands possible.
